I plan on selling my LOTR ACEOs, the Star Trek drawing, and I have references for Viggo Mortensen and Angelina Jolie pictures made to sell. I also decided, with recent news, that I would like to draw a Michael Jackson tribute picture, just because.
I got myself pretty down recently looking at the amazing pencil portraits of so many artists on this site, and started going through my gallery, seeing only drawings that weren't as "good". I moved a lot of the older stuff to the scrapbook, cleaning house as it were. But it made me realize how much my skills have improved. I only started doing realism 2/3 years ago, and while I'm not where I want to be, at least I'm improving. I think what I just need to work on now is patience. Recently I think I've cared more about just finishing a picture and getting it on this site and hoping someone fave's it. But at least I've come to know that even if I start getting jobs and commissions, I'll still be drawing because I love it. First and foremost I do and always will draw for the sake of drawing. Hopefully I'll be able to get somewhere with it.
